This made me smile Saturday

The ultimate reward. Saturday I received this email and it made my day.

"Thank you so much for the wonderful job you did creating the portrait of Dante for Sally to
give me. It was the best gift ever! Here's a picture of Dante posing with his likeness.
Thanks again!
Wendy and Dante"

I'm glad to have this thing inside me that I can share with others that makes us smile. Thank you Wendy. Dante it was a pleasure to work on this painting of you.

Siamese if you Please

Love the eyes on this guy.
Work in progress…
more posts as he develops. Painting is kind of mystical process to me, I never feel like I'm the one doing it, that I'm watching someone else painting.

Face Off almost done

Almost done with the latest pet portrait. I see a few little tweaks I'd like to add in the morning

Christmas Pet Portraits

These are the balance of the pet portraits I worked on before Christmas. I received some very nice comments about them and that makes me smile. The best thing is when my paintings give people joy :)

2 more beautiful cats

I stopped posting the paintings I'm working on the past few days, since one of my clients was concerned about the recipient might see it and ruin the surprise.

Delivered this painting today - she said I could share it since the recipient won't see it.  :)

Pair of cuties finished

This one was a little challenging, but finally finished.
Working on these pet portraits for clients who are giving them as Christmas gifts kinda makes me feel like a Santa's elf.

Labor Day Weekend Cont.

On Monday, as the great weather continued, I drove over to The Plains to take some photos of the old town. Here are a few. Perhaps there will be a few of these transformed into paintings available at "A Day in The Plains" on October 4.
